MyCards

Privacy Policy

Effective date: January 1, 2026
Service/App name: MyCards
Contact: contact@mycards.jp

This Privacy Policy explains how MyCards (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our service (the “Service”).

1) What this Service does

The Service helps you find and extract specific transaction details from emails in your email account that are related to MyCards. We only access email content for the purpose of identifying and extracting the limited fields described below.

2) Information we access and extract from your emails

We access only the content of emails necessary to provide the Service. From those emails, we extract:

  • Date (transaction date as shown in the email)
  • Card Name (the card or product name shown in the email)
  • Amount (charge amount shown in the email)
  • Charge Description (merchant or description text shown in the email)

No other email data is intentionally collected, extracted, or used beyond what is required to provide the Service.

3) Permissions and access duration

You grant permission to your email account in one of the following ways:

  • Continuous access: You authorize ongoing access while your subscription is active.
  • Per-event access: You manually request access and processing each time you want the Service to run.

You may revoke access at any time through your email provider’s security or permissions settings, or by contacting us.

4) How we use the extracted information

We use the extracted fields solely to:

  • Locate and identify emails relevant to MyCards
  • Provide Service features such as transaction lists, search, summaries, or exports you request
  • Maintain reliability, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues

5) What we do not do

  • We do not sell your data.
  • We do not use your email content for advertising or marketing purposes.
  • We do not read or extract unrelated personal information from your emails.

6) Data we store for continuous access

If you grant continuous access, we store and safeguard the minimum authorization tokens required to maintain ongoing access to your email account.

We do not collect, store, or have access to your email account password at any time. Authentication is handled directly by your email provider, and we only retain the tokens explicitly issued by that provider for the purpose of providing the Service while your subscription remains active.

If you choose per-event access, authorization tokens are used only for the duration of the requested operation and are not retained beyond what is necessary to complete that request.

7) Data retention

We retain extracted transaction fields and authorization tokens only as long as necessary to provide the Service and for legitimate operational purposes such as account support, security, and compliance, or until you revoke access, cancel your subscription, or request deletion—whichever occurs first.

You may request deletion of stored extracted information by contacting us at contact@mycards.jp.

8) Sharing of information

We do not share your extracted information with third parties except in the following limited cases:

  • Service providers that support operation of MyCards (such as hosting or monitoring), under strict confidentiality obligations
  • Legal requirements where disclosure is required by applicable law or valid legal process
  • Security and safety to prevent fraud, abuse, or harm to users or the Service

9) Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10) Your choices and controls

  • Revoke email access at any time through your email provider’s permission settings.
  • Cancel your subscription to stop continuous access once cancellation takes effect.
  • Request deletion of stored extracted data by contacting contact@mycards.jp.

11) Age requirement

MyCards is intended for use by individuals who are 18 years of age or older. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

12) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide notice through the Service.

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us at contact@mycards.jp.
